The multifaceted concept of "Exaltation" helped me think about and design an installation using metal and wood. It is a visual dialogue with these materials regarding the issue of paganism and prayer. The union with the metaphysical and the constant search of humanity, through prayer and meditation, "aligns" with the soul and gives people the opportunity to see the "familiar" in a different light. The concept of trees, with their delicate spiraling branches, and the small engraved offerings made of metal, seek favor and lifting of fear through a metaphysical "offering." The entire composition is underscored by the presence of a small metallic prayer rug, thus emphasizing the human presence within the installation.
